Coming Home!

We left Utah the day after Christmas. We were ready to get home to have more Christmas and to be back in our own beds and on our own schedules. My boys are not real great passengers, they don't sleep more than 20 min. here and there. The dual screen DVD players seemed to be more fun to kick then to watch!  This picture below is about halfway through our drive. Weston has the look I was feeling "Are we there yet?"

We did a Pit Stop in St. George for a couple hrs. to meet up with one of Ty's mission companions Brodie Rose. They live in Colorado but were visiting his family. I havn't seen them since they were married so it was fun to meet their 3 boys!  This is all 5 of our boys from left to right: Vough (4) Troy (22 months) Taye (19 months) Weston(22 months) and Jorrin (3) I thought I was busy with my two, but I think Brodie's wife Tianna has me beat! The boys ran all around the temple grounds and got a lot of energy out! We wore them out so good they fell asleep for the last part of the drive!

Santa had this all set up in the family room when we got home. Weston saw it and then got mad when I told him we had to eat dinner first and then we'd go play with what Santa brought.

Troy and Weston received barking dogs from Ty's brother Luke and our sister in law Lori and the first thing they did was go over and dunk them in the basketball hoop.

The day after we got home we stayed in pj's all day I figured we needed to make up for not being able to stay in them on Christmas day. I had mounds of dirty laundry and we still were not feeling 100%  The boys had plenty of new toys to play with!

Santa brought these adorable Firemen shirts to the boys from Gymboree! I love the suspenders on Weston's shirt-I'm a big sucker for suspenders!

Lil' Fire Chief Troy

My sister in law Lue got the boys these outfits. My sister in law Meg got them cute moose outfits too! They really needed clothes so I am especially grateful I don't have to do laundry so much now!

Lue got the boys personalized growth charts you can kind of see hanging up behind the tent. This tent was a gift from Santa and the boys had a lot of fun with it until they bent the poles and broke it! Ty pointed out that Santa must have not read it was for kids 4 and up:) Our boys destroy and break a lot of things so I guess Santa was just giving them a chance to prove that theory wrong! It came with a tunnel and they love that by itself so it's not a total loss! I guess even Santa has to learn from his mistakes!

The boys were very spoiled this year! Grandma and Grandpa Turner got them lots of new books, and money for big boy potties. Their aunts Lue and Meghan also gave them sippy cups, socks, and Lue made these cute fleece balls with their names sewn on them. Ty and I got some great gifts too from both our families! We got lots of gift cards to go out to eat, movies, pedicure and shopping! We had a great Christmas and we are very fortunate to have such wonderful families that love us so much!

Looks like you had a fun Christmas! I hear ya about the long drives. They are no fun with toddlers--especially two toddlers!!!

Cute pictures! I love the one where the boys are in the back seat! Their expressions say it all! Looks like they really enjoyed their Christmas presents too! So fun! They are getting so old so fast!

I laughed at the part where Santa had to learn from his "ages 4 and up" mistake. :)
