16 Months

As of June 23rd our boys are 16 months old! I can't believe how fast time is going! I look at old pictures from a year ago or even 6 months and I can't believe how much they have grown and all the things they can do now!  It does make me sad and I wish there was some way to slow down how fast they are growing up. I wanted to share some of the really cute and funny things they are doing. Since Troy is the big brother I'll start with him.

- Tends to be the leader when him and Weston play together he finds something intersting and Weston will follow or try taking it away from him.

-loves to climb and will move objects to get on top of things or
use me or Ty to get on the couch, toy chest, kid table, etc.

- Loves to be chased and goes to great lengths not to get
caught, cramming himself into small spaces, ducking down,
getting underneath tables, etc. so that you can't reach him easily.

- Recognizes music at restaurants, on TV,  or toys and will sit and move his bum/hips around to the beat it's very funny!

-Words he says: "Uh-Oh", "Boo", "Mama", "Dada"

-Body parts he points to: head, feet, nose and belly.

-On his own he waves bye-bye to everyone and claps when he likes something.

-Likes turning on and off the light switch in his bedroom.

-Favorite Song:"Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam"

-He is a great cuddler especially when he's tired or
gets hurt I love how he puts his little head on your shoulder.

-He is a Mama's boy and cries when I leave the room even if Dad is right there with him.

-Likes to feed himself and is getting good
at using a spoon. He takes his time eating and is
my picky eater if he likes it today, don't be surprised
if he hates it tomorrow!

-In playgroups he tends to be content playing by himself.

-Loves swim lessons and enjoys floating on his back and jumping to us from side of pool.

-I love this shy little smile! He pulls it out when there is new people around or he's unsure of the situation.

 Now onto little brother WESTON:

- Is full of energy and enthusiasm!

-Loves to wrestle and play rough- just ask Troy.

-When he wakes up in the morning he uses his hands to bang
on the wall- our bedroom is right next door and it's like he's trying to wake me up to come get him.

-If I open the fridge, the dishwasher, the closet, etc. he is right there to make sure it gets closed right away.

-Words he says: "Go", "Boom", "Mama" ,"Dada"

-Loves swim lessons and prefers kicking on his belly, or sitting up, likes to go underwater too.

-Body parts he can point to "head, belly, nose, mouth and feet"
(When he points to nose he blows out his nostrils like he's blowing his nose)

-Favorite song:"Once There was a Snowman"

-Has no interest in using utensils. He is all about efficiency! Alternates hands so that he constantly has something in his mouth and eats anything and everything!

-Has started doing tricks at meals he'll put a piece of food on top of his sippy cup then lift the sippy and catch the piece
of food in his mouth.

-In playgroups he loves to play with the other kids.
If they are a little older he will copy them and pretend
like he's a big boy and can do everything they do.

-LOVES balls,  and loves throwing them as hard as he can
and saying "boom" he spits when he says it too.

-When Daddy is home he prefers him over me.

-Loves to help out around the house sweeping floor, imitating me when I'm cleaning. I hope he doesn't grow out of that!

-Is a little joker he loves to laugh, tease and just be silly!  Recently he thinks burping is funny! One day he burped so I said "excuse you!" he laughed. So we play this little game I pretend to
burp and say "excuse me" then he burps back at me and I excuse him.
