Our 15 Favorite Things of Summer 2012

Our summer has been a busy one and although it was also the hottest since we moved here five years ago we tried to not let it make us completely miserable! The summer has gone by very fast and we did do some fun things to stay cool with family and friends. We are ready to enjoy the cool fall weather, fun holidays and play outdoors more. Before Fall arrives let us share our 15 favorite things we will remember about summer 2012!

 1. Yummy summer food, The boys didn't hide how much they enjoyed eating corn on the cob!

2. RAIN! I think we got two days of rain the whole entire summer but we love how it feels and we love to play in it even if that means in our pajamas before breakfast at 6:30 am.

3. Playing at new parks we've never been too before like this one
at Discovery park with our friend Liam.

 4. Swimming, sliding and having BBQ's with our friends.
This one was with our friend Carson.

5. Reading our favorite books over and over again.
Ryan and Kendra spent a couple days with us in May while Ryan took the MCAT exam.

6. Learning new things and meeting new friends in Parent and Me preschool.

 7. Going to our favorite restaurant Rainforest Cafe
we love to go whenever we have out of town guests.

 8. The newest splash pad this year was a big hit! This park is huge and includes a big
shaded playground at Reunion Trails park.

9.  Aunt Lue came to visit in July. We played and played and played!

 10. Summer naps after an exhausting day of sun and swimming.

11. Free Haircuts at Jcpenny's  and we were so good we earned a sucker!

 12. Getting dirty in the backyard, and then cleaning up,
and having more fun during bath time!

 13. Arts, crafts & baking with Mommy we made coffee filter butterflies, collages with our favorite pictures, homemade granola bars with mini m&m's, and finger painted with pudding.

 14. Picking and eating tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini from the garden Daddy planted.

15. Swim Lessons we loved it even more than last year if that's even possible. We learned new skills like monkey crawling, floating on our backs, going under water, and perfected our kicks and "scoops"

So many fun pictures. The corn on the cob faces are hilarious and they look so accomplished making their granola bars. Definitely growing up!

I love this! You did so many fun things. The boys look so happy and so involved in whatever you are doing. Looks like Mom earns a gold medal for not only surviving, but for thriving with twin boys during a very hot Summer. The boys are adorable and growing so fast. Love you all!
