Swim Lessons

Troy and Weston took their very first swim lessons during June and part of July! We enrolled them in the Parent and Me class on Saturday mornings so Ty could help me. The boys had a lot of fun in the water and I think are more comfortable in the pool now.  Unfortunately the lessons filled up so quickly my only option was around nap time so if you see some pictures where they don't look too happy that's the reason.

Troy and Weston practicing jumping into the pool. Troy wouldn't even wait until we counted to 3 he would just dive right back in.

Troy practicing his ice cream scoops(paddling) to his rubber ducky the instructor gave him.

Troy and Weston didn't like swimming in life jackets but I think it's good for them to get use to them. Here they are floating on their backs. The instructor would sing the "pancake" song and they would rotate from back to tummy.

The boys sat at the edge of the pool and waited for us to get in then we would say "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!" and let them jump in or just lifted them into the pool.

Weston practicing kicking on his back

Amanda, the instructor with Weston. Weston was pretty close to meltdown stage by this point.

Amanda holding Troy, she was really cute with the boys during lessons! Poor Weston is just so tired in this picture he can't take it anymore!

Troy and Weston's Grandma and Grandpa Turner and Meghan my sister in law came in July to visit us and watched swim lessons.

That looks so fun! I love Troy diving. Better watch out for that.
